SEO and Social Media Assistant
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full-time team member within our Marketing Department at IFGL based in Douglas.
Reporting to the Social Media and SEO Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in the creating and optimising content for both web and AI search (focus on a hybrid strategy that combines traditional SEO with AI-specific techniques) and maintaining presence on social media sites by producing engaging content and audience building.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out keyword research, optimise our webpages for SEO and GEO purposes, and creating long-form SEO optimised blog content
- Creating engaging content for social media platforms and increasing our follower base across all social media channels including YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
- Online reputation management that includes managing online reviews, DMs, social and web mentions
- Chief point of day-to-day contact for IFGL with our Digital Marketing agencies
- Ensure that content conforms to relevant regulations and legislation
To ensure that this role is carried out to the desired level, the successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- A fundamental understanding of how search works, and a knowledge of SERPs
- Familiarity with basic SEO principles and willingness to learn how to optimize for AI search engines.
- Well versed in Google analytics tools like GA4, Search Console and Google tag manager
- At least 2 years’ experience of working in digital marketing
- Good working knowledge of Office 365
- Knowledge of SEO tools like SEMrush or Moz, social media scheduling tools like Hootsuite, and media monitoring tools like Talkwalker and Google alerts.
- A general understanding of social media analytics within YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
- Good organisational skills
