IFGL kicks off FC IoM sponsorship deal

21 Jul 2023

IFGL has entered into a three-year sponsorship deal to be FC Isle of Man’s Community Partner.

The semi-professional FC IoM, also known as The Ravens, has rocketed to prominence in the Isle of Man, with thousands attending their North West Counties League Premier Division matches at The Bowl in Douglas. This is the 9th tier of the English football league pyramid.

What does the deal entail?

The new sponsorship deal will see IFGL sponsor 10 weeks of school holiday camps run by FC IoM across the Isle of Man, attended by around 100 children each day.

The IFGL branding will be seen across the holiday camps’ merchandise, as well as their social media and advertising.

IFGL will also be present on advertising boards at The Bowl during FC IoM matches, as well as in the match programmes.

And we’ll be the official match sponsor for one game during the season, when The Ravens face the popular Bury FC. This match drew the biggest crowd of the 2022/2023 season.

In addition, IFGL will sponsor the club’s YouTube channel, where viewers can watch match goals and highlights. The FC IoM channel, which will be branded with the IFGL logo, receives close to 100,000 visits per season.

Joining forces with a club that has brought the Isle of Man together in the way that FC IoM has is really exciting for IFGL,’ said Marketing Director Simon Barwell.

‘The Ravens have a very strong community ethos and pride themselves on being a focal point in the Manx community – these are values that IFGL recognises and shares.

‘We are hoping staff will really get behind our sponsorship of FC Isle of Man and become Ravens fans over the coming seasons!’

The Ravens take their role in the community very seriously and their principles are based on achieving success ‘in an ethical and conscientious way’. Players pride themselves on being positive role models for younger supporters.
