Trainee IT Systems Analyst / Tester

A new opportunity has arisen for a Trainee IT Systems Analyst/Tester within our busy IT Systems Analysis and Testing team.

This role will give you the opportunity to join a successful and fast growing company based in the Isle of Man. The successful candidate will be an inquisitive thinker and be able to follow process and procedure guides to build up their skillset, and to integrate with a team of like-minded people and strive to take on the role of analysing and testing software upgrades across our diverse range of systems.

This role will provide the first steps to a career in software testing with full training and support provided to the successful candidate.

The main responsibilities for the role holder will include:

  • Contributing to the growth and maintenance of our Knowledge Library through peer review of existing documents or submitting your own
  • Identifying and managing test related issues throughout the development lifecycle
  • Working with your peers to deliver accurate estimates of time and resources for assigned test phases, including dependencies, risks and assumptions
  • Communicating progress against plan for any work packages assigned
  • Representing the Systems Analysis and Testing team on corporate projects.

To ensure that the role is carried out to the desired level, the successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
  • The ability to generate and follow comprehensive test plans
  • Be willing to work towards ISTQB Foundation level qualification.
